“Song Bird”

This is an excellent resource for all ESL students and anyone who wants to hear classic American songs. One of the most important aspects of an accent is the intonation or "speech music." Learning through songs lets you hear the rhythm and pitch changes of actual music, which you can then apply to your own speech. Each song is written in both regular English and a phonetic transcription. This lets you see and hear the true pronunciation of the songs, as well as the word connections and intonation patterns.

You can use your iPhone headphones to listen, record on the digital recorder, and compare yourself with the model audio. (Works great on the iPod, but the recorder doesn’t appear on it. Sorry!)

It’s fun! It’s easy! It’s effective!

Designed by Ann Cook, author of the best-selling American Accent Training, AAT Song Bird is an amazingly easy way to work on your American accent and vocabulary skills with American songs. It’s perfect for beginning, intermediate and advanced students.

AAT Song Bird consists of 12 songs, complete with phonetic transcriptions for easy pronunciation. There is a recorder available so you can record yourself and compare your voice with the model audio.

Feature Summary:
• Covers classic American songs.
• Phonetic transcription for pronunciation.
• Professional model audio.
• Digital recorder on every screen.
